Yokehi began in 2019 as a small archive for objects, interiors, fashion, and the quieter details of how people live. It has since grown into this site, a slow collection of what good living can look like across the things we wear, use, and keep around us.

The name grew out of one Japanese word I kept returning to: kehai(気配). It means presence, the faint trace something leaves in a room, the sense that a space is holding something even when it is empty.

What draws me in is the overlap between Japanese living and Nordic design. Both trust simple materials, honest engineering, shapes that do not need to shout.
